[When Cayla was abducted a week ago, she barely struggled. Mostly because of her bad headcold. She still has it, but now with additional effects, and she struggles to hold back a sneeze as she speaks into her journal.]

Well, I'm back. I want to apologize to Raine and Helios, I'll come back to work as soon as I...

[In the middle of her speech, though, she can't hold back the sneeze anymore. Even as she sneezes, though, she... vanishes. Her journal hits the ground with a thud, falling closed.]

((OOC: Cayla's mallynap effect is such that whenever she sneezes, she teleports to a new location. Tags will be in action form, since she lost her journal. SOMEONE GIVE HER SOME TISSUES!))

[Sakura doesn't hear the journal entry. She's alone in her apartment building like she is most afternoons after her training sessions. Today, she's in the middle of eating her lunch when someone teleports into her room.

Cayla might want to be careful, there's some heavy exercise equipment around.]

What...what is the meaning of this?!

[Of all the things Cayls was expecting today, falling into... is that a bowflex? Well, whatever it is, she falls into it from midair. She's lucky enough to miss the metal parts and weights, but the machine's pads are not designed to cushion that kind of impact.]

Augh! What on earth?!

[Before Cayla bounces off of her equipment and onto the floor, or worse, onto anything metal, Sakura catches her and pulls her away from the equipment.]

You...are you alright?

[It wouldn't be that hard to hold Cayla, as she's barely more than 100 pounds. Given the slightly panicked way she's clinging to Sakura, this is a very good thing.]

Just bruises...

[Well, seeing as how Cayla doesn't weigh anything at all, Sakura just keeps holding onto her. She does move away from the exercise equipment, but she won't say anything until Cayla asks to be put down.]

Would you like some ice for your bruises?

... That would be lovely.

[As much as Cayla doesn't want to trouble the surprisingly strong yet gentle girl, she won't refuse the offer. Ice, as she well knows, is perfect for bruises.]

Could you put me down? I have a cold, and I'd rather not spread it...

[She finally puts Cayla down. Sakura is confident with her ability to withstand colds, but she's still going to usher Cayla out of her apartment.]

I have ice packs in the kitchen's freezer. [...] Might I ask your name? I am Sakura Oogami.

[Tricky logic puzzles are all well and good, but sometimes Layton just likes to relax with a classic jigsaw puzzle. They're simple and therapeutic, the perfect way to wind down after a long stretch of work. In fact, he's almost done with this 2000-piece puzzle he was able to scrounge up! That sense of satisfaction he always gets when he sets in the last piece will be so gre--

And suddenly there is lady in his puzzle and the tea set nearby topples over loudly. It is worth mentioning that Layton never lets his tea go cold.]

[While this wasn't the oddest place she'd landed today, Cayla still had a brief moment of panic when she hit the table and felt something explode out from under her. It took her a moment to recognize that the "shrapnel" was just cardboard... Puzzle pieces, in point of fact, which suggested that she had landed on a puzzle. Oh dear.]

Oh... I am so sorry.

[Forgive Layton for not responding right away. Just. Let him come to terms with this. With the puzzle pieces all over his shirt and lap, and his spilled tea........... Okay, he's good.]

That's... quite all right, my dear. Are you all right?

[He stands, letting the chunks of jigsaw puzzle on him fall to the floor, and offers a hand to help her down from the table. His room is on the side of disorganization and clutter though, so she might want to watch her step.]

[They really are everywhere. Including stuck all over Cayla. It's only when she's dusting them off that she realizes exactly how many of them there are... and how many were already in chunks... Now she feels doubly guilty, and makes sure to leave as many pieces together as she can while cleaning herself and leaving the tabletop with an easy grace.]

I'll be fine... Are there any pieces still stuck to me?

[Layton gives her quickest of once-overs.] You... may want to try your posterior.

[As much as it is a gentleman's duty to help a lady out, he ain't touching that.]

[Mia is in the kitchen making lunch when she hears a distinct whump in the other room. Sigh. Did Kurt teleport in to bounce on the sofa again?

But it's Cayla she finds there, on the floor.]

How did you- are you all right?

[That was one of her longest falls yet, from about 2 feet off the ground, and that whump adds several bruises to her growing collection.

Taking that into consideration, it's lucky she landed in Mia's home of all places.]

A little worse for the wear, but I'll be ok.
