First Reality

[A soft sob... Coming from behind the clinic in town. There, a young, dark haired woman is curled in a ball, releasing more pent-up emotion than she has in quite a while. She's freaking out, and no surprise, all things considered. After all, she just woke up in a strange place, in clothing she's never seen, with wings.

It doesn't help that to her, this is just a sign that her schizophrenia is getting worse. It also doesn't help that the dress is vaguely reminiscent of the clothes patients wear at mental hospitals; she half believes she's in one.

Even though it's spring, it's a little nippy, and she's shivering in her thin cotton dress. She hasn't noticed the journal sitting by her feet, but she has at least stopped crying, though her breathing is still rapid.]

I don't know if I want this to be real or not...

... What can I do?

I don't have any special skills, but I'm trained in teaching. I can also fight... not particularly well, though.

Oh, we do have a school! What do you teach?

[There aren't really schools in Weyard but she's learned their purpose here.]

I am always hopeful that none of us will need to fight.

I learned how to teach basic skills, like reading or math. I could teach karate or dancing, too.

Alright. Is there any place I can practice around here? I need to keep up with my dancing and karate, or i could get out of practice.

You can practice just about anything in the battledome. It isn't that hard to get used to.

What's the battledome like? [The first thing that comes to mind is a coliseum, which is not conducive to practicing ballet.]

The name is a little misleading. It is a building where you can create...a memory of a sort of yours. Many people do use it to fight.

How does that work? [It sounds like either fantasy or scifi.] There was nothing like that back home.

It is easier to show you than to try to explain it. ...I am not the best person to demonstrate, either, but I am sure someone will be there to show you.
