[A soft sob... Coming from behind the clinic in town. There, a young, dark haired woman is curled in a ball, releasing more pent-up emotion than she has in quite a while. She's freaking out, and no surprise, all things considered. After all, she just woke up in a strange place, in clothing she's never seen, with wings.

It doesn't help that to her, this is just a sign that her schizophrenia is getting worse. It also doesn't help that the dress is vaguely reminiscent of the clothes patients wear at mental hospitals; she half believes she's in one.

Even though it's spring, it's a little nippy, and she's shivering in her thin cotton dress. She hasn't noticed the journal sitting by her feet, but she has at least stopped crying, though her breathing is still rapid.]

I don't know if I want this to be real or not...

[If she's going to be here for any length of time, she'd better find something to do.] What kind of things do you do around here? How do you pass your time?

Uh... Well, when shenanigans and experiments aren't keeping everything insane, I guess we mostly just... do normal things. You know. Shopping. Welcome parties. That kind of thing.

Well. A mixture of interesting and normal. I don't know. It's hard to not be interesting with that many people from... different world around.

Right, about that. There are people here from... well, what can only be described as different worlds. The past, the future, different versions of Earth, whatever.

So... time travel? And across dimensions, too? The whole thing is starting to sound like an episode of Dr. Who. [A show she hadn't seen in a while... But future technology would explain the journals, and possibly the wings.]

It's more like a full season's worth of some alien's version of a similar television series. Or maybe four or five seasons of it.

[Weird topic choice, but it's what she picked up from that last statement.]

Uh, well, not being an alien, I wouldn't know. However, I can still answer your question with an unqualified yes.

Wow. That's a pretty bad estimate, even if you were unqualified to make it.

I can make more bad, unqualified estimates, if you want them, about pretty much anything.

[She actually meant bad as in negative or pessimistic, but hey! Delightful misunderstanding!]

You probably arrived at a decent time, too. There's some kind of experiment going on, but I think you probably missed most of it. Which means you should be safe for a while.

You've mentioned these "experiments" before. I'm guessing you've been through more than one? What kind of things happen?

I guess this would probably be... the third. At this point.

They're... difficult to categorize. But basically everything goes crazy in some way for a few days. Usually, with some theme. First it was "horoscopes". Then it was Valentine's Day. Now... whatever this is.

Well, you could also hope to get back home quickly. Some people do. Apparently someone I knew was here for only about two weeks.
